With a wireless-ready
Toughbook, home health care attendants and
visiting nurse associates can retrieve patient
histories from the road and electronically
transmit prescription information directly
from a patient’s bedside to the pharmacy.
Hospital workers can send patient information
to the hospital’s mainframe for immediate
invoice generation at the time of patient
discharge. Doctors can access test results
(blood work, x-rays, MRI’s, etc.) as soon
as they are available without waiting for
chart updates. Toughbooks support all nationwide
wireless networks including CDPD, DataTAC
(MotientSM Network) and Mobitex (Cingular
Interactive), and will support new technologies
such as GSM/GPRS and 1xRTT/CDMA.
